I'd rather see him swinging at pitches slightly out of the zone, versus taking close pitches. He has such amazing physical tools, use them.

Well I'd love for him to have an isoD around .100 again and he's not going to do that changing his approach. Ultimately I think he just needs more experience. Needs to know he's got to be in RBI mode even at leadoff sometimes.

First back-to-back Opening Day homers in franchise history

Twins about to lose. DET rained out. Cleveland tonight against SEA. KC against us.

W'sox for first place!

Also, Judge/Stanton/Sanchez line up is absolutely scary. My Gawd.

Real nice inning for Shields after the Sox give him 5. 3 easy ground balls.

Duffy done after 4.

One of his amazing tools is his eye, he knows exactly what is going to get called. With time, by being patient with anything that is going to miss, teams will have to choose between pitching to him and walking him. I think the key for him is working on hammering pitches in the zone, because he knows when they're coming.

Shields has retired 9 of his last 10 batters faced with no hits allowed and no K’s.

WOW. That is a crazy stat for a Sox franchise that's been around for a very long time.

The Royals suck. Haha. Feels good to not be in their position.

Holy f*** Davidson!?!

He is too set on taking walks at times. He takes way too many third strikes.

Davidson came to play

Davidson with another bomb! He has serious HR power. Love it

Davidson crushing

Davidson MVP

This team has some sneaky good power. Everyone but Yolmer can go yard 15+ times a year.

There goes Davidson again!!

My surprise/darkhorse pick off to a fantastic start. :D

Look at Matty Davidson! 2 HRS!

Called it

Davidson! My guy!

Missed a bunch of this game but lols at Duffy getting a case of the oopsies in the early innings. That KC rebuild is going to be brutal.

Yolmer hit 12 home runs in 484 PAs last year.

Alright I'm going to start writing that letter to Todd. Hell at this right I'll fly to Chicago to personally deliver it!

The good news is it’s easier to learn how to be aggressive than it is to be patient. I’m confident he’ll make the necessary adjustments to become an effective two strike hitter.
