He said what he has been saying since last season. If an opportunity presents itself to get big fish long term they will do it. 

I kinda feel like this has a chance to happen tomorrow.

The only other team that would consider $400M is the Phillies and I’m not even sure they would go that high.

Whatever the antonym of downplay is, that's what Hahn is doing about the rumors. He seems to really believe we're getting a whale and he's barely trying to hide it
