Limiting the pitching staff to 12 and having a pitcher face a minimum of 3 hitters are contradictory to lowering the pitching mound. I don't understand why those would be in the same proposal.

That is such a lowball offer for someone of Machado’s caliber. He will absolutely opt out first chance he gets if that’s the case.

Machado's market will not be better with a qualifying offer attached and several years older if he signs a short term deal.
