Thank god!

Wish him luck. He always tried his hardest and can't fault him too much that results weren't consistent. There's part of me that thinks he's destined to be JD Martinez Jr.

Just hope Sox execute their plan this offseason, as I would have rather seen Avi get at bats than Alonso or Jay, etc.

Good for Avi.  Thought he may need to take a minor league deal.

I am guessing $3.5-4M range.

If the Rays are after a player it means something. Watch Avi turn into the player we all thought he could be.

I wish Avi well and hope he can stay healthy. Trevor Bauer will sorely miss him.

And next winter people clamoring to sign him to a long term deal.

How will that turf effect his body?

Yes, and you can see why with him. Good exit velocity on hits, great arm in right. Good speed on basepaths...

and yet never put it together.

haven't seen the base salary, but Heyman saying he can earn up to $6M with incentives.

Now he will go to Tampa and tear it up.. people will b**** because the Sox didn't keep him

Avi gets 3.5 million with bonuses.

Watch him go there and dominate.

Well, if he does that, it isn't the fans you should be upset with.

Wish him the best. He always busted his ass.

$3.5M guarantee. $2.5M in incentives.

He had 4.2 WAR in 2017, which looked a lot at the time like he had put things together. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he returned to similar form.

I had hoped we would sign him to an incentive laden deal.  This was a bit lower than I expected.  Funny guys rarely take that kind of deal from there team as it is often perceived as "disrespectful".  Then they end up taking less somewhere else.

the only thing getting torn up will be his fucked up knees running on that turf covered concrete

I am not real good pleased with us not trying to keep Avi especially when I am pretty sure the Sox are going to have an open spot or two in the OF. I don’t see Delmonico or Palka being the answer

Avi should get plenty of AB's with Tampa.  Certainly better than Carlos Gomez.

Sweet. At least we get a Comp pick back for him after he denied our QO.

Avi was a non-tender.

That's a really low amount for a 1 yr. deal. He really had no market.
