November 4, 20196 yr This team is still racking up awards unlike recent years. Might have a Silver Slugger or two.
November 4, 20196 yr I don’t think I’ve ever been more indifferent about a Sox player winning a notable award than I am right now

November 4, 20196 yr Some people must have forgotten how poor his defense was in first month of season, or maybe April doesn't count.

I think you and I are the only ones okay with this lol. Engel is an excellent late inning pinch runner or defensive replacement, as is Yolmer whose bat probably hits better pff the bench anyhow.

I want to say he had 3 errors in one game at one point in April. Dropped every line drive hit to him. EDIT: Technically he did not. He had 3 errors in the first 5 games of the year, but maybe I'm conflating errors with misplaying some balls. Edited November 4, 20196 yr by ChiliIrishHammock24
November 4, 20196 yr Congrats to Yolmer. Man if he could only hit a little....750 OPS isn't asking for that much.
November 4, 20196 yr Awesome, I remember seeing him in A ball years ago back as Carlos, well deserved Hopefully we bring him back as a plus, versatile defender off the bench
November 4, 20196 yr Congrats Yolmer. Now re-sign at a cheaper price or enjoy playing somewhere else.
November 7, 20196 yr Oops. Another unpopular Sox raking in awards. He wins gold glove and Abreu wins RBI honor. This is a tough crowd on this board. At least BA leader Timmy is well loved (yes by me too).

They are all ideal for that role. And yes...Sanchez needs to settle for a few less bucks than arbitration would call for.

November 9, 20196 yr Yolmer is a bit of a distraction but would look great in a Cannonballers uniform. Maybe the stros or Rays could analytically maximize his hit tool unlike the Sox. Go Yolmer. Go.
November 9, 20196 yr Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers are big factors when it comes to arbitration. All the more reason to non-tender.
