The players are just as guilty.

I know I would feel pretty conflicted if my team started doing this.

This is nothing new really; this culture has been building and intensifying since Luhnow took over.  I loved Stras calling them out in the World Series - he said he was "tipping" but in reality h

Conflicted? I'd be furious.

Well there’s obviously some pressure from the team and some teammates to go along with it.  There’s the part of you that doesn’t want to go against your own organization.

There are a bunch of rumors flying around that that Taubman douche bag lawyered up and is cooperating with the MLB and Luhnow stepped down last night.

Agreed. I cant decide if taubman is the kind of guy who would fuck over the Astros or if he's the kind of douche who blames mlb baseball and would never help them.

Regardless, Luhnow doesnt strike me as the kind of guy who steps down.

people saying they're only getting a fine

if that's true, the mlb is essentially saying you can cheat for a price.

somebody has to get the axe, hard, for this

Lol what?  Where did you read that because everything coming out is saying the opposite.

I think I read they could only be fined somewhere up to 2 or 3 million dollars.  There is a 0% chance that is all they get.

If this is true, I don't EVER want to hear the term Black Sox uttered again.

Maybe if the White Sox didn't stink I wouldn't think this, but I hope this causes a major public backlash for MLB.  I know it won't, though.

this is disappointing because I was a fan of that Astros team on account of them being so damn good..... oops

On MLBTR, the majority of comments were people saying if you expect more than a fine you're setting yourself up for disappointment

So you're basing this on a comment section that is publically available, got it.

Actual executives and reporters are saying the hammer is coming down.

Me too. And who knows. They may be. But this tarnishes it for sure.

Baseball punishments have been very strict, and this is a thing that could piss off other owners who give Manfred his support

Remember those times Chris sale went crazy because Detroit was stealing signs hmmmmm

I dont think thats on the same level, although I will wait until more comes out of that.

The Boston stuff, while bad, seems to be on a much smaller scale.

Double whammy for Alex Cora.  Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.
