He's a switch hitter, it's for flexibility when they bring in relievers. I understand the rationale and we did pay Grandal a ton of money. I have no issue with him hitting 4th. He's eventually going to hit.

Also, you’re using hindsight of the double play to say he should have elevated the ball. If it was a hard single in the hole, there’s no chance you would have said “elevate that ball.”

I love Jose and Grandal obviously but add me to the list of not liking Jose third and Grandal fourth. When he came up, my instant thought was DP letting the rookie lefty off the hook. Indeed he hit a bullet and it was a GREAT defensive DP by KC. But I'd prefer Anderson, Madrigal, Moncada, Eloy, Robert, Abreu, Grandal, Engel and McCann.
