Trade Watch Rumor

I assume they'll trade for one or two relievers. Kinda thinking an SP upgrade doesn't happen.

Kopech still here...✅ Vaughn still here...✅ Madrigal still here...✅ Dunning still here...✅ I’m good!

  • Stay strong NOT Steve

  • It probably is. That said you don't know everything.  The smartest guy in the room act is comical.

Hopefully nothing happens while I go grab lunch

They called Heuer off the plane, Collins isn't even on the taxi squad, the trade was made last night. Are you sure you want to risk going to lunch?

A lot can change in a couple of hours but Not Steve Cishek can be put to rest imo. Nothing happened last night

The thing with Gausman is that the Giants are still in contention. I'm not sure they'd even be willing to trade him for scraps.

That's true. And if Angels believe in Bundy, they may just hold onto him for next year.

If this is the prospect price for a TOR SP with only 2+ years of control, then I expect a very quiet day in White Sox land.

And I am very OK with that.

apparently didn't even give Heuer fair warning; luckily they had a parachute on the plane and they just threw him out over Milwaukee on their way. Reports are he landed in the middle of the target sign in downtown Milwaukee among multiple elvis impersonators.

He just told me about 15 minutes ago that the trade was completed still. All I know is if it didn't happen he's going to be lit up on Twitter.

He will just delete his account.

have not seen that Heuer news. He is not traveling with the club?

Going into the deadline, I was hoping we trade for a starter (still could). Also hoping for Dunning to run away with a rotation spot over the next month. I really don't want to count on Cease in the postseason.

He's right though.  Cleveland hurting themselves this year puts the Sox in a better position today.

Couldn't this be COVID related?

As long as it wasn't at a Casino in Milwaukee. Ask  the Cardinals about that one.

I feel like a game would have been delayed based off of yesterday's As game.

A's got Minor. Rangers are selling. Leaves just Twins, Yankees and Sox as the only Lynn suitors.

We have to remember one thing. We acquired all of this major league young controllable talent to win a few titles. Once your major league squad does this, prospects will need to be traded to help the team win it all and free agents will need to be signed to help out as well. Our everyday roster is loaded with Vaughn ready to contribute and our staff has 2 dependable pitchers for the next 3 years after now. We can trade Kopech or Dunning if we get a controllable arm. However, we better sign another good pitcher this offseason if we do so to ensure we have a competitive rotation. Gio, trade, FA, DK, would need to be here through 2023. We will also need to draft BPA to acquire more pitching as needed if it comes to it. This is the life of being a non free spending contensing team. Enjoy these 7 years of great baseball because it is once in a lifetime for us. We don't know if it will happen again in our lifetime.

Minor is also ticketed to be a free agent in a month.

Pretty sure it was a joke.

I agree.  People follow this guy like some sort of Cult Hero.   So glad Steve Stone blackballed this clown.

Who reported Heuer isn't traveling with the team? Dick was joking.

Mike Clevinger has done little for them this year anyway. They are still loaded at SP without him, Bauer, and Kluber.

I'm not sure... he should of pitched this last series at some point then.

If anyone actually tested positive the game would be off. The Engel situation of "on the IL until we're sure they're clear after possible exposure" hasn't yet involved canceling games, but MLB is now quite clear that the moment a confirmed case pops up, even among staff, the doors close and people isolate for a couple days.
