He had just curbed his strikeouts for the past couple of weeks too. Weird to see him regress against the Pirates of all teams.

I assume Gio won't be starting again? I kind of figured Flores would be the long man/inning eater. 

I'm fine giving Gio the rest of the game.  Off day tomorrow, saves the bullpen, gives Gio work he hasn't had in a while, saves Dunning to pitch more next start if needed.  

Guess they want to keep his pitches down? I mean that's the only real explanation for pulling him.

Also if DK isn't starting Saturday and Gonzalez isn't starting Saturday, does that mean Rodon will start that game?

Opponents only hitting .320 against Gio this year so far, solid!

Anyways, Dunning has been a delightful breath of fresh air and would imagine he should be the third starter in a playoff series at this point.
