No Moncada?

Yea strange considering last game was the best he has looked in weeks. Hopefully they’re just taking the opportunity to give him 2 days off in a row. 

Moncada may literally be the definition of "day to day" right now. I guess it is possible that he is having good days and bad days. 

Would prefer these regular lineups (baring injury or rest) for the remainder of the year (no platoon considerations except RF).

1. Anderson SS
2. Moncada 3B
3. Grandal C (Keuchel / Cease / #5 Starter) or 1B (McCann starts)
4. Abreu 1B/DH (DH when Grandal plays 1B)
5. Jimenez LF
6. Robert CF
7. McCann C (Giolito / Dunning Starts) / Encarnacion DH (Grandal C starts)
8. Mazara / Engel RF (Platoon Starts)
9. Madrigal 2B

The issue isn't "no Moncada," it's no Grandal. Why THE FUCK is he not playing, at least as a DH?

What a stupid ass lineup but that's what we've come to expect.  Grandal's bat is white hot and there is a tough righty on the mound so of course Rick puts Edwin 4th. Edwin coming in with a robust 83 wRC+ against RHP.

Why wouldn’t we have rested Moncada on Wednesday given the Thursday off day? I don’t understand this back and forth logic

You can't DH him with no 3rd catcher. Abreu needs to DH more to accommodate.

Mazara and Edwin will now combine for at least 6 hits with 12 RBI.

I didn't necessarily mean that but moreso what you said. One way or another, McCann and Grandal both should be in the lineup

If Grandal was DH and McCann got injured, can Grandal not shift to catcher? Doesn't it just mean the pitcher bats the rest of the game?
