It's just giving the benefit of the doubt that he'll be worth $6mm in each of those last two years. that's a decent gamble to me for a zobrist type guy. 2/12 for DJ to slot in as a backup/UTIL guy playing 80-100 games at ages 36-37? I'm putting this down as win-win for both sides.
