Having all these night games right at the beginning of the season kind of sucks

Featured Replies

I'm trying to enjoy a game early in the day. I love a good day game. Who's with me?

Yeah, I was looking forward to some day drinking today with the wife & kids in Chicago, but now I may need to change my plans with an 8pm start time.

Better to get a west coast trip full of night games out of the way early when they are coming from AZ rather than in the mid-season grind. It sucks, but will be over shortly.

It just means there will be more later in the season.

I'm on the East Coast this week and having two close games in Game 1 and 2 has kept me up until 1am both nights after long days...not ideal.

Come home, White Sox.

But no rain outs/weather delays....games bunching up in schedule.

It’s perfect in China because we have a long holiday weekend too, Sat-Mon.

Can go back and forth with Final 4, although not expecting much until Monday night...

The bright side is after Tuesday, the Sox have 2 games remaining this season that start after 7:10. September 7th and 8th, 8:40 starts in Oakland.

It sucks, yes... but I'm 100% fine with it as it should be this way because Chicago should not be hosting baseball games in early April.

As others have said.. get 'em out of the way.

The only reason I’m not a zombie today is that the dog slept in today, rather than getting me up to take her out.

At least the games aren’t boring.

I am thoroughly annoyed at the late games to start but also glad to get a good chunk of them over with now that games have started.  At the same time 7pm games can't get here soon enough.

Anything can annoy Soxtalkers.

It does suck, but if you have to play them I guess get them out of the way.

Looking forward to ducking out of work a little early to watch the game at the bar on Thursday for the home opener.

I'm tired...oh well, sleep is for kids.  Make it worth it tonight boys.

They suck, especially if you live on the east coast because they start at 10 pm. But I am on night shifts right now so I'm up all night.

2am here in eastern time zone...good thing I’m a night owl

I do like the West Coast better when it comes to getaway day. I like 3:10 start times.

Well it's over for now

I'm still mad and I'll never get over it.

Listen, if the west coast wants to be a part of our baseball league they are going to have to play games at 5pm, that's the rules.

It seemed like every game so far got stuck in a time warp between the 4th and 5th inning.  I would look up and it was 11:20 and think "four more innings!?"

It is very on brand for Chicago that they've finally done what we've asked and started season on a west coast road trip, only for the weather back home to be the most incredible april weather...then for them to return and it will be rained out every day ha.

What REALLY sucks is waking up at 6:00 a.m., seeing the White Sox taking a 4-1 lead and then watching them immolate so spectacularly that you have to forget it about it for the rest of the day somehow.

I think that Bobby Jenks 2008 loss to the Twins and their Harrelson-fellatioed CF haunted me for days since it happened in the morning.
