That might be worse than any lineup RR put together.

Just indefensible

Just a reminder we could have had AJ Hinch but Reinsdorf hasn't died yet.

Time for Hahn to go all "moneyball" and just DFA Nick Williams and Jake Lamb.  "Sorry, Tony, you can't start those guys tonight....they're no longer on the team"

  • More convinced than ever that Kenny is his dad.

I'd rather play Engel against a righty in the 8 spot playing great defense in RF than bat Nick Williams 5th, let alone even play him lol

I'd rather play Vaughn.

Can we make this his official knickname?  Anyone make shirts around here?

Can we order the ageism shirts here as well?

Same.

I have no doubt in my mind Peavey44 could set a better lineup.

Engel against tough RHP is not a good answer

But Andrew Vaughn is?

Eloy fucked us, plain and simple.  JR fucked us, too, by refusing to pay for a competent LF replacement.  This is compounded by TA and our primary back OF both being on the IL.  I'm not excusing TLR but let's not pretend he's sitting stud starters every night.

TLR has tossed out over 100 different line-ups a season over most of his career.  That's what he does.  This should come as no surprise that we aren't seeing consistency from him.

We GET it Tony, your NOT racist.

Eloy didn't F us.  Our lineup should still be fine without him.  Larussa continuing to not give Vaughn a chance and play williams and leury everyday has F'd us.

Fine, substitute "guy who should be playing" for "starter."  It's kind of a semantic point.  There are ways to construct our lineups so we don't see the likes of Williams, Lamb, and Mendick making up a third of our batting lineup. They should do that.

How?  With Leury?  Not going to sacrifice defense?

I’m legit surprised that Lamb isn’t hitting higher in the lineup. That’s where the bar is right now for lineup logic. Good times.

It depends on how much of a trendline you're willing to draw from his 2 hits coming against lefties.

But...damn, if you can't play Vaughn against righties, and you can't play Engel against righties, heck at least keep the one on the roster who can catch the ball.

Gotta figure 5-6 walks for Nick2.

I'm offended by all the people implying alcohol and age have ruined TLR's ability to make a lineup. Clearly he has a very professional and successful process.

Cheapest ticket on Stubhub has already dropped from 39 to 29 after that lineup was posted.

I keep looking at this lineup thinking there aren't enough positions for the number of bad offensive players he found time for but damn it he made it fit somehow.

Great reference!

Honestly shocked Leury isn't at SS or 2B because lefty bat.

Didn’t Renteria hit Palka and Delmonico 4th?  Those were the days...

Btw, Byron Buxton at .484 is closing in on Mercedes’ batting average of .500.  We’re sitting the league’s best hitter statistically.

Where the hell is Parkman when you need him?

The sky is finally falling Jack! You're missing your moment!

He said he was leaving for a while.

I haven’t read the thread yet. Just wondering if anyone else noticed that’s a shit lineup. What the H?

Why the hell would you sit Yermin for Jake Lamb?
