When will the Sox realize Hamilton is terrible. His at bats aren’t even competitive.

He’s literally one of the worst offensive players in the last half decade.  His value is a pinch runner and defensive replacement.  The fact we keep letting him bat in big situations is insanity to me, although perhaps there were no other options today.

Guess this is the end of my brief game thread streak.

that ball shoulda been caught

This roster is so poorly constructed right now.  Enough with the “it’s early” and winning with speed, pitching and defense.

Hey TLR Baseball Person, here is how a Sac Fly works, watch this.

should we not be walking WENKER here

Having to bring Hendriks in in the 9th with the double switch basically screwed us. Umpire changed the entire game.

That SB attempt was one of the most bone headed plays I've ever seen called for by a manager- assuming that was the case lol.

having TLR as our manager and Jerry as our owner is starting to really test my patience as a fan. Im not sure its worth it anymore to watch a close game and wonder when the manager is going to fuck it all up.

The dreaded closer in a tie game...ugh.  Never seems to work, especially on the road.

I get that he’s our best relief pitcher, with Kopech/Bummer battling for 2.

Are we trying to lose?

Can't win with speed when the speed guy can't hit the ball.

Maybe the idiots in charge should have called up Gonzalez instead of Mendick.

there were, they're in the minors because the FO refuses to call anyone up. I'd rather have Collins hit for Hamilton there and then switch for Gonzalez for the bottom of the inning

zero fucking reason why Hamilton holds a baseball bat when the game is on the line, EVER

Even if this works, why do you pitch to Winker here?  He’s one of the best in the world hitting RHP.

Only positive of this is if the sox get out of it Hamilton is at second

If... IF the Sox even get out of the bottom of the 10th here.

Hahn does deserve a lot of blame for not looking for "quality" depth but I also think any team hit by this many injuries is going to look tough.

The OF coming into Spring Training was Eloy-Robert-Eaton/Engel. All 4 of those guys are out with injury right now. I don't know many teams that survive that and have the depth to really make things look good.

Is Hendriks gonna throw anything except fastballs?

What a surprise.

Of course but Tony is determined to managed like it’s NL games before steroids.

Gotta frame that
