Dotel wasn’t exactly a favorite, either.

Billy Koch?  Too early in ST history?

See my edit.

I was on WSI during the Koch years.

Javy was worth 4.7, 4.8 and 4.8 fWAR in his 3 seasons with the White Sox. It's crazy to see that. I remember him as the ultimate choke artist.

As Hawk always said, the pitcher with the best stuff who was nevertheless always around .500ish or below for his career…regardless of where he played.

By popular demand, let's discuss the all-time Soxtalk whipping boy. There were some good nominations in the gamethread. Recent whipping boys include Cease, Collins and Madrigal. Let's hear your choices.

Don’t forget how much the McStans hate Grandal!

McStans, love it lmao.

Any Sox player over the last twenty years making his debut that goes 0 for can’t hit and should be flipping burgers

Since I started posting during the going after the 2 whales fiasco....I'll go with Rick Hahn.

Honorable mention:  Adam and Drake Laroche

Nobody has said this after the debut game of a Sox player.

I mentioned Javy Vazquez in the GT, someone mentioned Jerry Owens, I agree with that one...Nick Swisher wasn't here long but got a ton of flak.

Most of the Bartolo hate was one dude.

Greg Walker going away. Bad hitters were his fault. Good hitters, nothing to do with him

I am reading a book about hitting coaches, and it was written that Walker was open to new ideas and really cared about his players. It was too bad his career was cut short. He had one beautiful swing and should've been a real hitting star.

Can't forget Orlando Cabrera. I despised that overrated, annoying little runt.

Careful that you don't upset him, or he'll call you up and argue that it wasn't his fault.

joe Crede prior to breaking his finger bunting in minnesota 2005. people wanted us to trade for Chavez. after he got back of the DL he became joe the hero Crede until his back failed.

Nick Swisher. Shocked I was the first to mention him.

Adam Dunn was an All-Star with the White Sox, so I think he takes the cake

Mine was alejandro de aza. Dumbest player ever

Javy is a good one, Gavin Floyd got a lot of hate same with Jon Garland. Pre2005 there wasnt as much hate.

This has to be the correct answer. To be fair, his 2011 season was historically bad. It was so bad that I didn't even remember that he hit 41 and 34 HR the following two seasons. All I remember is that 2011 season and how bad he was.
