I like how the La Russa apologists have identified themselves via avatar.

And that's why we get continually one of the worst strike zones in all of baseball.

#1, it shouldn't have taken Katz getting tossed to wake him up. #2, Once Katz did get tossed, Tony should have done enough to join him. You could see Burr was still visibly upset after the inning

Keuchel stinks... so does Billy the Hitter

Haase just kills us

If you dive you best catch it, lest that happens.

I have seen better baseball plays than that.

Very very very bad play Billy.  Shouldn't one of the other OF be backing up there though?

Billy was just making the inning go by quicker. Detroit was probably gonna get 2 there regardless.

Really bad play by Billy, but Keuchel has been flirting with trouble a lot today, and a lot of hard contact.

That should end the billy Hamilton experiment

Stupid play by Hamilton

Billy really fucked that one up.

I’m sure Ron will come up with some way that that play was actually Abreu’s fault.

In that cavernous CF, not much can be done, and we have not the fastest guy in LF right now.

Bad play by Hamilton, but DK has been....well, not great.

In CF in detroit? They might have a mile to run.

Just gotta get into that Tigers bullpen, no time to panic

I'm just here for the hot takes.

? You mean the first baseman or the second baseman.  Billy is playing 90% of the outfield by himself

So what you are all saying is that it was a monumentally bad play by Billy?

Good day for a ballgame. Crede said vaughn will pick up Billy there!

TA with the leadoff double, just get him in, and the slate is even.

I was just about to make a post about how TA is approaching league average territory and then he does that.

Yep that was an extremely dumb play. He’s not looked good defensively since returning.  Meanwhile, Keuchel can’t be walking guys.

Here's an idea, howabout we don't strand BA like we did with Hamilton's lead off double?

He just gave up 1 more run than they would have gotten.   1 was scoring on the hit and the other on a sacrifice fly.   So not that dumb.   He took the risk and it failed so be it.
