Lucas at just 70 pitches. Do you take him out after 7 regardless of pitch count or do you keep him in until he's no longer effective?

He had that 4 hit game and used up all his BABIP luck.

Robel Garcia is the only position player to have pitched for the Astros this season.

He has a 36.00 ERA in his one appearance. Rookies better keep their ears open if he is called in to pitch.

His change up is so much more effective when hitters also have to worry about the slider and fastball.

Throw him until he’s in trouble or 100+ pitches or the game ends. This kind of dominance without cheating has to be huge for him.

Gracious, this Gio is muy bueno.

Mowing down a big time offensive lineup.

Engel, Mendick and Zavala on the bench.

Wouldn't be against putting Mendick at 3B for the rest of the game as well.

I'd also get frisky, knowing that Eloy is coming back and will likely see at least some time in LF, I'd switch Goodwin and Vaughn between left and right.

Gotta tell you guys, winning is more fun than losing.

This kind of dominance in general is huge for him. Giolito was struggling all season whether he was using stuff or not.

Just raising Giolito’s trade value

moving into that territory where you probably start planning for the post season and watching guys IP

I would probably bring in Lopez or Ruiz for a couple and let Lucas enjoy the rest of the game

The Astros have an xBA of .075 tonight.
