Call your sons, call your daughters, call your friends, call your neighbors - Hawk Harrelson will be inducted today into the BBHOF

Congratulations to Hawk Harrelson, who will be inducted along with other broadcasters and writers today into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was elected last year, with the ceremony postponed until today due to the pandemic.

The ceremony will be televised tomorrow (see link below for details).

Regardless of your opinion of Hawk as announcer or general manager, nobody could question his love for and allegiance to the Chicago White Sox over the decades, and his love of the game.

Hope he and his family and friends have a great day celebrating Hawk Harrelson's career!

even if you hate him you have to say hes a HOF, a well known HR call, lots of catch phrases, everyone knew of him and had an opinion for decades. Thats HOF worthy in and of itself.

Congrats to Hawk and those who care about him.

congratulations, for all of his faults, I doubt I would be as die hard of a fan of it weren't for Hawk

I would not mind Hawk doing one game a week. I get tired of the same old routine.

I'd honestly be so down for something like this. Once a month? Hawk was a lot more fun when he was calling for a good team and you know hed be having a blast calling for this one.

Would have loved to hear hawk call gavin sheets walk off the other day

Hawk calling one home game a week would be even more must watch tv than the Sox already are.

The sox have been giving a lot more time off to Stoney this year. I like when they bring in a Beckham or Thomas. would really enjoy them working Hawk into that rotation as well. Or even a 3 man booth. Totally agree that it'd be fun to have him in the booth maybe one series a month or so.

Man I’m really surprised at the support in here for him doing some occasional guest announcing.

Proud of you guys.  Hawk is a really important elder in our family.

Go Hawk!  You earned it!

I wonder what the TV ratings are this year for the White Sox.

I’ve watched more games this year than the last 4 combined (in part because I bought the Extra Innings package this year and haven’t since 2016, but still).

Hawk is the greatest baseball announcer of all time. Sorry, haters.

At his best, he was great. At his worst,  he  was ordinary. I thought he should have switched roles his last 10 years.

I heard he was going to be visiting the booth later on this season. Not sure if it happened yet - but if anyone knows when he is going to be in the booth (radio or tv) - please post it.  Such a legend.
