He pitched extremely well the first time around. He had good stuff today. But his stuff just isn't good enough for teams to get multiple looks at it.

To be fair he was awesome last year, but the dude’s K rate continues to drop every year and he’s now around 5.6 per 9.  For reference, he was around 8.4 per 9 when he won the Cy Young.  Unfortunately for us, it’s going to be hard for him to be much more than a solid #5 starter if that K rate continues to decline.

Thought Kopech was going to start tomorrow. He better pitch 2-3 innings, he needs to get stretched out. It's such a waste limiting him this year and beyond with this 2 IP per week bullshit.

Unless the acquisition of Kimbrel & Tepera changes things, they are converting Kopech to a legit reliever role this year.
