Had 'em right where we wanted 'em the whole time.

Hendriks nutted up and got the win, appropriately.

Goodwin with another huge hit.

Lynn pitched well again, and was robbed of the win.

really you are feeling vindicated by that game?

Glad we won.. but can't say i feel great about it.

bullpen getting hammered when that is supposed to be our nuts.

Hendricks and goodwin players of the game.

Kimbrel looked bad, but maybe the only redeeming thing about his outing today is that Romine's HR had an xBA of .170 and probably isn't a homer without some assist from the wind. Still, he has to be better.

His curveball actually looked good in his first outing, but hasn't looked good in his 2 outings since. He didn't pay for it in the Cleveland outing, but he paid for it today.

You can feel bad about it without going to the pathetic depths of that game thread

Give the Chub fans something to cheer about in a lost season, then proceed to win big.

Theo quit on them, As did Len Kasper. As did 80 percent of their fans in Wrigley after the top of the tenth

But damn Kimbrel. Also need to do better with risp

A win is a win, but I feel like this “win” just raised even more question marks.

It’s just baseball. There are 162 of these things.

fair enough... i didnt post but like twice in the game thread.

but game threads are typically overly emotional.

It’s not often we get to see a player have a career worst outing, and he barely knows his team mate’s names.

I actually think this could be one of those wins that energizes a team and gets them going.

Didn’t watch.  Looks like the ending was super exciting from the box score.  That’s all you can ask for as a fan- shame I missed it!

I thought last Sunday's WO win would do it but then we go and lose the series to the crappy Royals.

Law of averages says one of these wins will ignite them…right?  Maybe…

Gavin sheets single knocked in what  ended up being the winning run in the 8-6 victory. That kind of of got lost in the midst of that home run barrage.

Yes, but the dent I left in my kitchen garbage can is forever.

Suck it Cubs!!!

Can’t depend on Goodwin to keep saving the day. Screw that, yes  we can

hard not to love Goodwin:

I feel like the thread title needs a question mark on it, lol.

the epitome of the phrase “a win is a win”.

The backup players keep getting the job done.  Some of the regulars...not so much.  I do like the versatility that Vaughn has been developing as it really helps in these NL games.

Nope. Doesn't fit the narrative.
