10/1: Houston wrapped up the AL West last night, and one more win by Houston or loss by the Sox will lock Houston in as the #2 seed, with Tampa Bay already having clinched the #1 seed. New Y

Scenarios for White Sox to grab 2 seed:

Sox go 6-0, Astros must go 2-4.
Sox go 5-1, Astros must go 1-5.

Sox go 4-2, Astros must go 0-6.

At the very least, the Sox need to win 5 of the next 6 to have a shot.

4-way tie scenario:

Yankees (1-2 at Tor, 1-2 vs TB)

Red Sox (2-1 at Bal, 1-2 at Was)

Blue Jays (2-1 vs NY, 2-1 vs Bal)

Mariners (2-1 vs Oak, 3-0 vs LAA)

That would rock the casbah.

Looks like the Orioles will help decide who wins the wild card race.

Yankees/Boston game was insane tonight

Boston bullpen is god awful. If they were any decent they would have won the last 2 games.

9/27:

Milwaukee has joined the Sox and Tampa in clinching division titles. Houston is off today and can join that club tomorrow.

Tampa needs only one win in their Tuesday-Thursday series at Houston to clinch the #1 seed. Houston is 3 games ahead of the Sox for the #2 seed.

In the Wild Card race, New York has moved a game ahead of Boston for the first spot, with Toronto 1 back, Seattle 2 back and Oakland 3 back of the second spot.

In the National League, Atlanta now up 2.5 over Philadelphia in the East, and San Francisco up by 2 over Los Angeles in the West, with the Giants and Dodgers already locked into the postseason. St. Louis can clinch the second wild card spot as early as tomorrow.

Key early week series (all Tuesday-Thursday unless noted otherwise): Oakland at Seattle (Mon-Wed), Boston at Baltimore, NY Yankees at Toronto, Philadelphia at Atlanta, Tampa Bay at Houston, Arizona at San Francisco, San Diego at LA Dodgers.

How are we not selling tickets yet?

They have been.

As a partial season ticket holder, I've gotten 2 separate invites to purchase playoff tickets.  2nd one is tomorrow at 2pm.  I assume after that they'll release them to the public.

Still need to determine who plays where.

Trying to sell as many 2022 season packages as possible by offering postseason tickets with those.

Sox have been selling tickets for weeks already to season ticket holders and those who want to sign up for season tickets next year.

Orioles and Diamondbacks both 50-106. Is there no brainer 1-1 next year? ?

The Sox had 2005 WS tickets available after the ALCS if you committed to the full 2006 season, they lasted for at least a few hours for the general population, IIRC. That's how I got my WS tickets (bought the other rounds one at a time online).

I think they have to sell a portion of tickets to the public, not sure if it's a law or MLB policy. We got standing room only tickets in 1983, wonder if they will be able to sell those this year or "science" will restrict or prevent SRO tickets this postseason.

Funny because the Cardinals are putting tickets on sale tomorrow and they haven't even clinched a wild card berth and don't even know if they will be playing in the NLDS.

Probably told to by Commissioner's Office.

Any team that isn't eliminated by now is going to put Division Series tickets on sale this week.

2.5 GB of Astros for HFA. Houston has 3 with Rays and 3 with a (potentially) desperate A's squad.  I am rooting for A's to win 2/3 or sweep Mariners so they have something to play for this weekend.

Unlikely to catch Houston to be sure, but not impossible.

It would be kind of funny if the Cardinals finally lose tonight, but clinch by the Braves beating the Phillies and the White Sox beating the Reds. Sox game will probably end last.

With mobile ticketing what is the hurry? Sell as many 2022 ticket plans as you can and they are selling a lot.

They can put tickets on sale the day before the game and have no issue.

Red Sox three outs away from losing in Baltimore. That would be huge. Go Mariners and Blue Jays.
