Never understood the fans trashing other teams or fan bases.

It's stupid, because just like the Cubs, the White Sox have played and won the one postseason series against each, and also own the all time series record against both teams (Houston (39-38) & Cubs (74-66)). At least the Cubs were able to salvage two games in the World Series.

I liked the Astros growing up, Jose Cruz, J. R. Richard, Cesar Cedeno, Nolan Ryan, Mike Scott. Respected them in 2005. Haven't liked them since the douchebag GM was taunting women reporters about Osuna. Jim Crane is trash, he should have been suspended or forced to sell the team if MLB had any balls and/or sense. I won't like them until he is gone, because it will take his departure to finally remove the stench from that franchise.

I remember liking the Astros and A's when I was younger (late 80's maybe?) because they were the only teams that wore white cleats.

I liked the A’s as well, even though they were in the Sox Division. Rickey Henderson and their uniforms had a lot to do with it. Same colors as my High School uniforms (St. Patrick HS), liked them in Grade school as well. I respect, don’t hate the A’s except when they are pounding the Sox in Oakland, a tradition which must end this decade.

Live Las Vegas Odds from the Westbook:

  • Lucas Giolito -265 over Matt Manning
  • Jake Odorizzi -160 over Paul Blackburn

Other games:

  • Chris Flexen -172 over Jhonathan Diaz
  • Alek Manoah -233 over John Means

Also, the Dodgers score 4 in the 5th to tie the Brewers, remain on life support with the Giants still leading the Padres 3-0 to start the 8th. Seattle down 1 in the bottom of the 7th.

Kershaw is likely out the season, exiting tonight after 42 pitches with left forearm discomfort, which sidelined him for 2 months earlier this season.

10/2:

Houston missed a chance to lock up the #2 seed last night, but one more win by Houston or loss by the Sox will lock them in, with Tampa Bay already having clinched the #1 seed.

New York and Seattle lost, Boston and Toronto won, so New York now leads Boston by 1 game, with Toronto and Seattle both 1 game further behind. A win by New York or losses by both Toronto and Seattle will clinch a spot for New York. A win by Boston and losses by both Toronto and Seattle will lock Boston in.

In the National League, San Francisco and Los Angeles both won, and a win by San Francisco today or a loss by Los Angeles locks the Giants in as the NL west champs and #1 seed. Milwaukee is locked in at #2, Atlanta at #3, and Saint Louis at the second wild card.

Playoff race series continuing today: Boston at Washington, Tampa Bay at NY Yankees, Baltimore at Toronto, Oakland at Houston, San Diego at San Francisco, Milwaukee at LA Dodgers.

Yankees down big in the 6th, Jays up by 3 in the first.

I happen to be going to Little League Day, Nats vs. Red Sox tomorrow.  On top of quality time with my son, starting to look like it could be a very significant game!

Barring a big Yankee comeback:

Tomorrow, Yankees win and they get a wild card spot.

Today: Red Sox win one of two and they’re guaranteed a play in game. Red Sox win today and tomorrow and they win a wild card spot. Tomorrow is guaranteed to matter for Boston.

Jays and Mariners need to win their games and have either the Yankees or Red Sox take one more loss to have a shot at a playin game.

Padres trying to keep LA’s hopes alive. Hoping Washington comes back not necessarily for chaos, I just hate the Boston and their teams.

PS - Why is this stupid Cubs game on instead of the Astros or Sox game on Fox?

I agree...they drive me crazy.
