JFC, no. It’s not “crybabyism” to point out a handful of ridiculously easy decisions a child could have made that our manager didn’t in either game. Those decisions put us in a much worse position to

Jerry choose literal door number 2.

you realize the Sox are still in the hunt for this World Series and perhaps a couple more down the road, right?

This is more pathetic than our hitting today.

Leaving Anderson, Moncada, and Robert on the bench in the 9th, down only 1 run.  It's going to be awesome when they don't have home field advantage and lose the deciding game IN Oakland or IN Houston...  Forget about the Indians, that's over.

we weren't eliminated today?  This game today should have been managed like game 7 of the World Series...

Number 2 is right, very apt.

Hypothetically speaking, someone who knew in advance that Rodon wasn't pitching today and that TA, Robert and Moncada were all sitting could have gotten really good value on MIN at +155 before it dropped to +130 after those items were made public.

It's funny because TLR has 2 championships in the 21st century.

im not saying its making much of a difference one way or the other.. because i dont think it really is

but the people that think TLR is a good manager (this year) in these threads crack my shit up.

Agree 150%.  TLR doesn’t have the killer instinct.  We need to bring out our weapons when we have a chance to win.  Leury ending the game grounding out meekly on the first pitch with three boppers on the bench on a1-0 deficit in the 9th. Is inexcusable.

If only we could replace TLR with one of the numerous message board managers lol, we would be 40+ games over .500.

That would be awesome!  9 position players would play every inning of every game and 3 pitchers would throw 500 innings each.

almost as funny as all the undefeated managers on a message board

Lmao oh boy they lost when they were supposed to win every game for the whole season!  This is awful, season over

They fully rested everyone as much as possible because tomorrow is going to be a long day. Simple as.

Could save on payroll if we went with a 12 or 13 player roster lol

Tony was bad.  The offense was bad.  The bullpen was fine.

Thats it!

All this means to me is that they should be trying to win as many games as possible against the bad teams before having to play 4 good teams in a row. We might be wishing we didn't punt this game when we're struggling to win games in the next 2 weeks.

I will not settle for only being *squints at notes* 17 games ahead of the twins.  This is malarkey

It's disappointing that the guy who needs to rest the most won't take a day off. Sigh.

That's weak, reeeeally weak.  You know it's not that simple.

Getting one at bat in the top of the ninth is going to make a big difference in the rest pattern of Robert, Moncada, Anderson , all of which can tie the game with a big fly?  Is that too much to ask of guys making millions?

when you are the head coach you are going to get questioned... that's life.

Sano was such an over sign it made sense for the wealthiest ownership in baseball to cut funding for international scouting

The sky is falling.

Listening to the ESPN telecast you think the Sox were on the cusp of a dynasty. Then the twins take 2 of 3, Back down to earth
