TLR is obsessed with having lefty righty matchups, no matter how crappy the lefty is.  TLR is old school, not a metrics guy. Vaughn should have been in this lineup.  His defense has been better than Goodwin also.  He has also been hitting righties well

The problem is the payroll...we're already in the $155-160 million range keeping both Kimbrel and Hernandez.

That doesn't leave much room to insure the starting rotation (Lopez) or help out the bullpen much (replacing Kopech/Tepera.)
