8/15/21- Yankees @ White Sox- GT

I am in favor of not challenging...everyone is tired of watching us bat.  To call what they are doing hitting is insulting to anyone who has ever swung a bat.

Sox really need at least 3 out of 4 vs Oakland, probably need to sweep to be in a good position to win the division.  Cleveland might get to .500 some day.

Going to my first game in Chicago in over 7 years. Been looking forward to this weekend all year, let's get the W!

it was clear as day that he was off teh bag... what could any of them have seen otherwise.

Sorry its gotta be tony.

What are they doing?

It was pretty clear on both views.  Literally nothing to lose there.

Probably not

Some games it's noticeable, other games it isn't, but every game the Sox play is with one hand tied behind their back

No kidding, that's twice that they've decided not to challenge plays where it looked like we were safe. It probably cost us a run in the first.

TLR is probably against the concept of replay review. Too new school for him

The smart manager knows that you get to bank unused challenges for future games

TLR is costing us runs and games.

Yankees are getting Timmy out right now by throwing him first pitch sliders, only to see him roll over on it once again. He needs a better approach right now.

I guarantee he is

You'd think Collins would try to bunt with that shift on him. It's not like he's a good hitter and Gallo just did it earlier this game.

That goes against Sox fan logic of having to club everything over the fence,  If you are not good at hitting a baseball how could a bunt hurt.  Gallo is slumping and even he tried it.

So is it TLR's decision whether.to challenge, or the replay room? Seems pretty clear that it would be the replay room.

Replay room: "He was safe, Tony"

TLR: "I'm not challenging it"

That's how some of you think it went? LOL

I agree on this one, you automatically challenge this one with it being the 7th inning.

Same story as it's always been. But I'm sure the Sox being so bad in 1 run games is just a coincidence.

at best his managing is a wash... more likely he is costing us games

It is the replay room, but being it is the 7th inning they shouldn't even need to talk to the replay room.

Turns out TLR saved the challenge in the first, only to not use it right before he was gonna lose it anyhow in the 7th. It's so fucking baffling I wanna tear my hair out. c

A manager who grasps the rules would have called for a challenge immediately after TA was called out.

I don't like Tony, but I agree. It is amazing how many are in their glory when the Sox are losing.

there isn't any reason not to challenge it... its on both of them.

x2 clueless

I thought you couldn't challenge after the 8th.  Either way a bad choice to not challenge.

Good performance by Bummer

That’s a level on incompetence we haven’t seen in a month or two from TLR.

So the Yankees got Gallo and Rizzo and not making a difference right now.  Gotta be frustrating for them.
