Looks really bad but he's conscious so that's at least one good thing.

same but it needs to be done.

Omg yes

Trainer pointing to the eye socket?  Ugh :(

I see blood on his hand. That's not good. I feel so bad for him right now. Nothing much you can do about these situations. Horrible luck.

prayers for him

I really really don't want to think about where all the blood could possibly be coming from but I can't stop. Fuck.

Hopefully it’s a broken nose but it looks like it may be the side of his head near his eye. This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen for a pitcher getting drilled

Im worried he lost an eyeball dude

Yeah, not good

when you get hit like that it can collapse the orbital and you can lose an eye, PLEASE BE OK

STOP SHOWING THE REPLAY

All face wounds bleed a lot so hopefully it's just a cut and his eye is unaffected

Orbital?

Yeah really hoping his eye and vision will be ok

Fuck that’s scary

Christ.  Hoping it’s at worst a broken cheek bone or torn ear.  I don’t like that it was near his eye.

I honestly don’t know how you are able to take the mound again, ever…after that happens. Just terrifying.

feels like shit having bases loaded no outs now but the players will go on and that's just what you do I guess.

watched the replay, seems to have hit him square on the right eye socket?  but might've been the nose too, the camera switched right after contact

At the game I was looking at third /left before realizing he was down.  Scary stuff.

Goodwin looked dead inside.

There are plenty of YouTube videos of pitchers getting hit in the head.  That was one of the worst I’ve seen.

Hope the best for Chris, hate seeing anyone get hurt.

Right. I was thinking “damn….that’s one way to get to their pen early”

Looked like one of our trainers clearly pointed to his own eye/socket when I guess explaining the injury to someone else
