Hopefully this allows the guys to relax a bit and let the game come to them.  I know everyone has been freaking out, but I have seen a team that was pressing for the last couple of weeks.  Now that this monkey is off of their back, maybe they can get back to having some fun.

I think he’s improved. First year he would fill dead space with nerd wit. That’s lessened a lot.

Still think he’ll mature nicely.

No one however will be Hawk.

I think this is right on.  We experience the season as as this long, day-by-day journey and it's easy to get caught up in the results of each at-bat.  But having a successful season is really just a three-step process.  We've done step 1 for the first time in a long time.  Knock on wood we're close to step 2.  Here's hoping for step 3.

Benetti has a good announcer voice.  Compare his voice with Beckham and you’ll feel better.  Agree, there will not be another Hawk and his Hawkerisms.  Benetti will never say things like grab some bench, can of corn, you can put it on the board yes, etc.
