ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT

You need to warm someone up NOW. Giolito nearing 80 pitches and is lacking command with the lineup about to flip to 3rd time through.

Imagine being a manager and knowing you have 5 fresh relievers and 1 who hasn't been successful on back to back and pitched yesterday and say to yourself, let's go get the former in the biggest moment

We can still win this series. We just have to score more runs than Houston and you can take that to the bank

  • Let’s GO! Lots of pressure on Houston. They need to win one of the next three if they want to force a game 5.

Sure looking like it.

Oh god, this isn’t good right now.

7-8-9 battle in this series has gone about as badly as possible

GIO has to get more aggressive with this bottom order. too much nibbling for his pitch count.

Hey, this is playoff baseball.  Gio is pitching his ass off.  Where is the offense?

Nice job to come back and get him.

Gio's gotta be feeling like he can't allow much contact.  I don't blame him.  He's a winner.

Bottom of the lineup has to get something going. Come on

i'd say get some runs now but what the fuck do i know

Offense needs to get it going. Now.

And that's exactly the problem. This team is built on the almighty homer and throwing through a brick wall.

The Sox need a more robust, multi-dimensional offense.

Hahn has the same problem as Pace: neither has a clue how to get that done.

We are still more a collection of RH hitting talent/individuals than a cohesive team resembling what we had in 2005.

Wonder if they will consider trading Moncada...which would be one of the few ways to even up the payroll down the line for Burger.

No easy solutions or answers that don't involve spending a lot whereas we usually spend 50 cents on the dollar with just a few notable exceptions like Grandal and Robert.

Then holding on to Abreu one year too long becomes yet another risk factor.

This team filled with so much talent and swag can’t score more than 1 run in a game.

Their 8 and 9 hitters actually have good ABs. Ours don't have a single hit.

Time for Leury Legend to live up to his moniker.

Let's go , still in this game. We all want to win this one !

need more gold chains and music videos

Day off tomorrow and fresh one from yesterday. I’m fine with nibbling, just keep it close and treat it like a tie game or a lead

Will we manage a base runner this innings or a quick 1,2,3 innings?

I don't think anyone here is blaming Lucas, just recognizing he can't do everything.

The Sox have $40M + and two high 1st round draft picks invested in the bullpen. Time for them to do what they are here to do.

So you say they’re too right-handed but want to possibly trade Yoan?

They can't score because the bottom of the lineup is like 0-20. Sure it hurts that the middle isn't doing as much as they should, but you can't sustain or build long rallies when you have 1/3 of the lineup doing absolutely nothing. This is why they need to go after a 2B and RF.

Yup, 100% still in this b****.  Need the offense to wake the fuck and string together a couple hits.
