We need these pitchers to step up and all of them laid an egg man. A lot of other things went wrong in this series, including LaRussa, but the starters are why we're looking at a sweep.

So much for the argument next season that Cease can be counted on in the playoffs. We better get at least one more starter to go along with Lopez and Lambert.  Or Rodon comes back into the Sox price range due to missing so much time late with no structural issues, just general fatigue and soreness.

Cease is a nibbler and has been whole career so far. He could not be trusted to start a playoff game, Dallas being worthless really handcuffed the rotation.

Cease isn’t the first young pitcher to struggle in a postseason game
