If you actually go back 3 weeks - they are getting closer and closer to a mid-point between where the players initial extreme offer was and the owners and where there extreme offer was.

If they split the difference, it's now less than a minimum salaried player per season. And they seem willing to sacrifice even more to try to "win". Ridiculous.

This - although its why I am optimistic because it is starting to get to such small amounts that people should just say - okay lets split the difference and move on.
