The real question is what old TLR connection still out there that they will bring into the fold?

  • Huge news...Kimbrel spotted near the Dodgers Spring Training complex.

  • Yes. Sox would forfeit like the 65th pick, the bonus pool amount associated and $500K in international space. They should be willing to do it though.  This offseason hasn't been a good one for

Onion?  April Fool's?  Because TLR is often stuck in 2011...

Time to fire up and bring James Shields out of retirement to eat some innings and finally prove that trade was worth it ?

Do it. Any starters we can sign to minor league deals and call up in like 3-4 weeks besides Cueto?

Maybe Tony can pull some connections here.

The Sox should get this guy.

2014 was the last time they ran a relatively high (for them) payroll in the last decade.

Micker for an  equivalent starter that has an option year left would be great

Who even fits into that category though? Micker will most likely have to go to a team that is rebuilding and those kind of teams wouldn’t trade those kind of pitchers away.

They would have to be pretty bad to make it plausible.

Emilo Vargas is going to be SP1 in Charlotte. The bar to clear to be worth acquiring is beneath the floor.

Why would a team give up anything significant for Adolfo, when they know that they can just wait for the Rule 5 Draft, unless the Sox can convince that team that he is going to remain on the roster?

Nobody is going to give up anything significant, but teams that are lower down on the waiver list may give up a low level prospect to avoid having some other team claim him.

Rule 5 draft?  Rule 5 draft isn't for 10 months.  Sox have to make a decision on Adolfo in the next couple days.

Why did Adolfo wait this long to start looking this good?  I don't think I can take another Tatis.

Of course, that makes sense. I wasn't thinking straight. Thanks

Injuries are what really set him back.

You remember when TLR said when in doubt add more pitching, we’ll here we are. Now I think we need to add. Even though Cueto hasn’t pitched the whole Spring, I think they need to give him a good look along with Anderson. If they go down the trade route, they should package Adolfo with Sheets and see what they can get.

What he said.  He's hardly even been healthy. Just ran out of time. Sucks - I like him too. I'd probably just hold him thru April on the 28 man honestly and see if he's needed assuming there are no offers worth taking.

If you can flip him for anything useful for the pitching staff, you 100% have to do it.
