I think this is real. I don't hate josh harrison or anything but given our history a lukewarm prediction is that he won't be on the roster in august.

(and he also may look like a great signing through end of april)

Just like White Sox legend Jimmy Rollins I see a similar path for Harrison

1. Josh Harrison is cut by July 15

2. Vince Velasquez doesn't make it past April

3. Cease leads our team in cy young votes.

4. Kopech leads our starters in ERA/FIP (just doesn't have a ton of innings)

5. Abreu has under 100 RBI

6. Vaughn bats .280/25/90

7. Eloy bats .300/40/100

8. Moncada continues doing what we've seen.  Not a difference maker but good player.

9. Conforto is on the white sox and slashes .270/30/80

10.  Sox win 100 games, go to the world series and lose to Dodgers

11. Romy has a 2.5 WAR season, but doesn't start until Harrison gets cut in July.

Some of these don't seem particularly bold. #8? C'mon man, push it a little bit. :)

Josh Harrison gets into a fight with Dallas Keuchel/Craig Kimbrel for reasons that are completely baffling, leaving the latter to retire from baseball midseason?

Giolito wins Cy Young; Cease finishes top 5.

Moncada and Robert combine for 50 SB

Eloy continues to be the player he was after returning from injury in 2021.

Robert hits 40+ HR

Moncada hits 20+ HR

Hendriks' gopher ball problem gets worse

Graveman sucks and reminds everyone of Scott Linebrink. Kelly never gets completely healthy.

Kimbrel stays on the team all season and is dominant for stretches, but completely sucks for a month, dragging his entire season stats down.

Keuchel is DFA in June, leading to Velasquez starting games. There is a 5th starter hole the entire season.  Sox are unable to fill it because their minors suck.

Josh Harrison puts up more WAR than Madrigal.

Team leader in homers:  Austin Meadows

trying to figure out the monkey paw angle to this, assuming it means he does it with like only 28 home runs or gives a chris carter season of like hitting .190/.280/.580

That is really, really bold.

It's wishful thinking — I believe he is the only White Sox player remaining (Engel and Lopez settled) as arbitration eligible. We've seen a couple extensions across the league this week. I don't think and never did think we're signing Conforto, so maybe, just maybe, they're working on something with Giolito to make this offseason at least somewhat redeemable

I hate to say it but I think Giolito has LA on his mind and I don't blame him.
