John Tumpane was a year behind me in high school. I remember when he was a sophomore he got a perm and everyone laughed at him.

Have yourself a day AV!

We got a good one in Reese McGuire. Exactly what we needed since McCann left.

He would make a good battery mate for Kopech.  A young pitcher needs a steadying influence.  McGuire has the ability to frame and make pitches look better than they are.

Good ol baseball.. when the Sunday lineup scores more runs than your regular lineup.

Vaughn could be lil' Paul Goldschmidt after all.

He'd have to gain some speed cause Goldy is pretty fast for a 1B.

ok adam no need to bust ass there, jesus.

Did we lose the division yet?

Goldschmidt might be a big Andrew Vaughn.....might be mind you.

I understand the thought that Banks' stuff doesn't look great individually but I think it will play decently well. He does a good job of keeping his arm behind him and has a fairly quick whip forward. The fastball looks like it has some life/rise at 94. The slider is probably below average but it was spotted mostly pretty well. It comes down to whether he can routinely spot the change on the outside corner. It has enough armside movement to play off his slider and fastball well.

I think he could stick. He doesn't walk too many but he doesn't strike out too many either. He will live or die on the quality of contact against him and I think he could produce average exit velocities against. That should be good enough for a depth reliever.

No, but we're not better than the Yankees yet.

Getz wasn't lying about the added velo for Banks

Nice game from Big Energy over at 3B. Give the man props when due.

4 outta the 5 outs are K's lol good for Banks

Banks dominating now.

If Stone is a mouthpiece for the front office at all, it's interesting how he talks about the future of Vaughn and also talks about how Burger is auditioning for all the other clubs.

Nice seeing the Sox come back strong after Friday's loss

Should have been a sweep, but 2 outta 3 does the job

Best thing about today's game is that nobody got hurt.

(Though Eloy tried)

"Bye Detroit!" - Eloy

Hi Mom....I love Eloy.

Great job by the entire bullpen today.

That game was fun.

One bad pitch away from a sweep. Oh well. Good recovery. It should also tell Detroit they have a long ways to go.
