If you wanted rest for the stars, pull them in inning 3 of game 1 and put them back in for game 2 and pound Guardian ass. It’s like we are managed by an absolute fucking moron

  • The silver lining being it kept Keuchals innings low.

Sounds like Keuchel is satisfied with his performance on the field today.... wow.

Well that was one of his worst pitches. But overall solid day.

He made 2 bad pitches on 0-2 with his slider and he paid for it.

Sure as hell feels like it. I don't think McKenzie would be able to go all 9 though.

Both RBIs on hanging breaking balls.

At least Lambert manned up and kept the DH from getting entirely out of control.

Had the feeling the offense was going to be putrid so here we are...getting no hit.

The guy rarely blames himself. Remember when he blamed the Oakland Coliseum for his bad playoff start? Sure the defense screwed him, but he absolutely unraveled after the 3rd error today.

Yep and then blamed his teammates. What’s next he going to bring his kid with him to practice? He’s heading to Adam LaRoche territory.

Hey Tony, can I pitch?

Can't bring myself to watch this lineup after game 1 today, but I'll leave this here.

No, the last 2 innings will be pitched by either a position player or the DH call-up as a "mercy" play.

Sorry buddy, we’re going to need you to hit.

They won't push him...66 pitches through 4, doubt he even sees the 7th.  Going to have to be a combined across 3-4 guys...Shaw and Clase at the end.

...and now here's Lopez who should have started Game 1 today....

It’s only going to get worse the longer they keep him around. God forbid he lasts through the year and they need to start manipulating innings not to vest his option. It will be an unwanted distraction for the team. I’m at the point now I’d rather lose with Lambert or Banks than win with Dallas. Especially if it prolongs his career here.

What’s wrong with this team?

And Tony does not care one bit.

If it's not bad enough with Houston owning the Sox, they basically gave Straw away because he was superfluous.

With CLE, he gets an extension.

Wouldn't have many one iota of difference with Tony's lineup...

Dallas Keuchel is a bad teammate. He said some terrible shit last year, and he's at it again.

Didn't Bill James the original guru do a study on how a player's position in the batting order matters not?

After going into a fair amount of research and consulting with others, James was ambivalent on the topic. i.e. New Age lineups matter, until they don't - which is often.  He did make a case for batting your best hitter in the #2 slot, but even then the numbers favoring that positioning are small .

Done with this dude.  The sooner he's gone the better.

Indians' announcers complaining he's (Tristan) not as sharp as past starts...only 56% strikes.

Already calling down to the pen.

A loss with Dallas is the same as a loss with any other able bodied pitcher. Just cut him, already. It will have the net positive of removing him from the clubhouse, which of nothing else will at least brighten the mood of everyone

Well this lineup would have a good chance of losing to a AAA team and it has 2 solid starting pitchers out of 5.
