They have needed a RF for three years, and Hahn has come up with Mazara, Eaton, and rotating spot (Leury/Sheets/Engel).

Sheets is not an outfielder.  Period.  End of sentence.  AJ being only ok in RF is not cause to put the worst defender on the roster in RF and act like it’s fine.

This is why you bring in real not and not rely on guys like Sheets to DH. You are trying to win a title with a bunch of unproven guys who need to develop.

I’m sure TLR will insist because of matchups…but there really isn’t any reason Sheets should be on the roster. We have plenty of OF’s/1B already and his bad isn’t making up for anything

the evidence is mounting that he's just a very good reliever

 

Getting the lead-off guy on for it to be followed up by 3 hitters all batting below .150 is such a depressing feeling

Surely, this was Keuchel's last start in a White Sox uniform, right?  Even a demotion to the pen isn't going to improve his performance.  Time to just bite the bullet and release him.
