3 straight hits by their 789 guys, one a bloop, but you just can’t do that against this lineup.

Time to make other plans tonight. About as bad as we all expected.

Hicks 1-19 ? of course VV gives it up.

We keep challenging our opponents best hitters: Buxton, Ramirez, Naylor, Judge, Stanton and we are paying a big prize. We seem unwilling or unable to pitch around these guys. TLR didn’t get the memo of not letting these guys beat us.

Sure but he’ll intentionally walk Pujols.

Don't throw Judge anything resembling a strike

Good thing Tony saved the A relievers for tonight

This was one of those games that seemed such an easy choice to pick NY it almost looked like a sucker bet.

Leury misplaced that of course...shouldn't have been a double.

And then Abreu's having to make another difficult scoop play.

Anderson could have taken that ball on the fly and had a DP.

Team just not very good right now

But when the Sox miss those chances the other teams always take advantage....seemingly.

It wasn't a chance. It was uncatchable.

12 straight NY runs without a Sox response over the span of just four innings of actual play.

They should have added someone other than Velazquez to get the caliber pitcher of Rodon. Don’t give me that shit that Kopech replaced Rodon, a team that cared about winning would have replaced someone of Rodon’s caliber. Especially if he makes it through the regular season and playoffs.

Doesn't matter anymore.  Game is almost over for all intents and purposes.

Wacha was the only one in their price range who has come close to putting up those numbers.

Good thing TLR saved Graveman & Hendriks for today ?

20 runs in the first 10.2 innings of this series for the Yankees

“Price range.” The money will be spent, remember? We all talked about the luxury tax and how they still had some money left. They must really just want a middling team they are disguising as one that is competing for multiple championships. Talk about misinformation.

Have a good weekend Soxtalk! Don’t want to waste my free time on this “championship” caliber team.

They weren't good enough last year either, and with the roster inflexibility/lack of surplus value on contracts, it's hard to see how they ever will get there.

I hate to break it to you, Rodon wouldn't help this team much either. Starting pitching has been the team's biggest strength. The offense and bullpen are problems. I find it funny how that works given the discourse in the offseason.

The money was spent, just poorly.

Sure. Blame is on him. But the blame is also on the players and their shitty performance and on the octogenarian who wants to take money to his grave. Asshole.

Hahn's hands are tied by JR. We will never be a premier franchise and have it run as a major market team until JR is gone and we have a new owner.

Not even competitive.  I'd say the same about last night.  Seems like Yankees are always hitting.
