The offense has looked better than I expected vs Gausman and yet still with just 1 run so far. It's not great.

If there was ever a window to trade him, it's certainly closed right now. Sheets has zero trade value.

It would be nice to see Adam Engel hit like he did the last couple of years, but just couldn't stay healthy.

If they couldn't trade him when he was hitting, they definitely can't trade him now.

Truth is, injuries have basically insured Gavin continues to get opportunities. Once (if) they get healthy, he’s back in Charlotte. Dude has three option years - let’s use em. We don’t need to send him to the moon. That should have always been the plan. Gavin as Plan A was such an awful decision.

I'm sure he was apart of the package the Sox were offering for Manaea. But of course it's difficult to acquire good players when you have so few prospects teams actually want.

Certainly not if the team is .500. There's no one in the system I'd have as untouchable if this team was playing to a ~90 win pace or better.

Right now, Engel is out producing Yas at the plate. At least give him a few looks at leadoff during the TA-less stretch.
