Wow, the average FB velocity faced for Yoan this year is 95mph.  He's -5.5 runs on fastballs. Seems like some bad luck of facing fireballer after fireballer and perhaps a case of a guy that is in between on his swing and is guessing too much.

Makes sense. They use different relievers based on if they are winning or down by 2 or more it seems. Edit: having checked this, Foster has been worse at home. But nothing I side earlier changes.

We have to lead the league in missed double plays, right?

They actually turned it pretty quick but Baez got down the line

Cease with 70 pitches through 3. Will be lucky to get 5 from him.

I will take 5 at this point

The TLR-thrown games have masked what may be a real awakening by the offense.  We really should have won series against the Dodgers and Rangers, which coming out of the Rays series win would have had us all feeling pretty good.  Hoping the bats stay hot and the pitching comes back around.  It's high time we get on a little bit of a roll.

Hendriks being out, hurt our chances on the two extra innings losses to the Rangers.  Understand Hendriks got hurt when he pitched in the 9 th of the first Rangers game with. 5 run lead. Another questionable TLR decision.

Can that sox math winner get the camera any closer?

Oh, we'll get five from him. The last two outs in the fifth will be an adventure.

Oh, cool. The serial killer won sox math again.

Lambert 6th

Martin 7th

Lopez 8th

Kelly 9th

Sox win!!

Here is the story line. Whatever lead we have, we lose it in the 8th, with no  chance to come back.

Hutchinson  in a groove.  Career high in innings who'd of think it.

I can't even watch moncada bat any longer.  Garcia could be the worst and  dumbest hitter to ever get 5/10 rights.

Moncada and Garcia hitting 5 th and 6 th is not a good idea.  This is just because TLR is obsessed with matchups regardless how bad the lefties have been hitting.   TLR does not adjust.  TLR is always putting us behind the 8 ball, not utilizing our resources efficiently.

our starting pitchers are so inefficient.. which results in the bullpen getting extended and possibly injured.

Well once again Cease can't keep his pitch count down so the bullpen will have to cover 4 innings at least.

At this point with how he started and with no command tonight I will gladly take

5 innings of one run ball

Yoan and Leury as your 5-6 hitters is less than ideal.

You were right Leury coming up with the bases loaded in the 1st after 2 walks, and came in hacking and swung at a ball over his head striking out.  Typical TLR matchup obsession regardless of how bad our lefty hitting has been.

There we go . Works like a charm !

YoYo!!

I missed seeing Moncada grab his helmet.
