But now that's the only run we will get. Since Leury is up and Robert couldn't score on that.

Makes sense. They use different relievers based on if they are winning or down by 2 or more it seems. Edit: having checked this, Foster has been worse at home. But nothing I side earlier changes.

Phew...

Moncada and Garcia hitting 5 th and 6 th is not a good idea.  This is just because TLR is obsessed with matchups regardless how bad the lefties have been hitting.   TLR does not adjust.  TLR is always putting us behind the 8 ball, not utilizing our resources efficiently.

While if we were fully healthy I’d agree, who else you gonna bat there? McGuire and Mendick?

Moncada is just a guy that needs a pat on the back instead of a kick on the rear. If TLR can't figure out how to get the talent out of a guy like Moncada he should be shitcanned. Figure it out TLR.

Nice job YOAN! We need you buddy like a a junkie needs the next hit...

yea, nice to see Moncada showing some life..

Mendick for Leury.  Mendick has been hitting the ball very well lately.  Leury generally sucks and is not making contact with poor 0late discipline.

Now how do we cover those four innings...?

Well it's certainly better than the opposite problem of eating innings.

Cease continues to bedevil the Tigers.

Probably not a great idea to have Dylan throw 100+ pitches four consecutive games...

The problem, just like Engel, is what to do with the prolonged cold streaks that will inevitably arise...

Combination of them not hitting, guys elevating, and luck. Mostly luck at this point.

Never easy.

This team just doesn't do blowouts or even comfortable wins.

TLR will go for the pitcher's individual win and this game will get away somehow...

Cease never gets any DP balls but he sure needs one now.

Almost got the double play.....one more, Dylan

Throw two more of those, Dylan.

Dylan showing growth, learning to fly isn't easy but he's learning.

That Baez contract looking pretty rough, about now.

Take a seat Dylan. Job well done.

Well you’d like more than 5 but good outing by Cease. His incredible stuff is almost a burden to him at times, the K’s rack up the pitches. A few more ground balls wouldn’t hurt. Of course better command wouldn’t hurt either, but both incredible stuff and great command is a rarity

Cease gutted out 5

Cease has way too good of stuff to only be going 5 innings.

Need to keep adding runs with 4 innings of bullpen coming.

looked bad the minute he signed it imo. he's a guy that is propped up by BABIP and defense -- two things that are too random.

So, I'd imagine that Graveman will close and Kelly moves to the 8th inning role with Hendriks and Bummer on the IL?
