7/7 Tigers @ Sox, 7:10 PM

Yoan is in, so he must not have been too bad off after last night, which is good since the swing has been looking better.

This must be what getting no hit by Humber felt like

  • They look like a team that was convinced they could flip the switch whenever and then when they tried to flip the switch, there was no power

Looking at these matchups, this might be the best opportunity of the season to get a 4-game sweep and a legit winning streak going... so here comes a 2-2 split!

Tigers are hot though so not getting them at a good time . That's how the Sox swept the Giants. But maybe the return of Eloy can spark the offense.

Didn't expect to see Moncada in tonight's line up. I think someone had a talk with him.

Both he and AJ Pollock need to get going.

Moncada is a career .256 hitter and Pollock a career .279. They have to be at least playing to their average.

This team has to start mashing the ball like yesterday to have a chance. That was what we all expected to see this year.

TLR isn't going anywhere. Nobody is getting fired. The players are going to have to make this happen.

If they cannot hit HRS at home they are hopeless and will lose. No question.

Can the Sox have one game this season where no one is hurt or sick? Jeebus.

You forgot to compare to him a piece of female anatomy.

I like that lineup.

I doubt it.

Can Cease not be at 75 pitches through 3 innings tonight please.

Prediction for 1st inning. 27 pitches.

The average start in baseball now is 5.1 innings. It'd be great if Cease pitched deeper into games, but he's still been a top 10 pitcher over the last 2 years (by fWAR) going ~5.5 innings per start. That's plenty deep enough when you're as dominant as he typically is.

Why are people booing Baez

"against righties he might as well go home"

literally 1.5 seconds later Grossman smokes a single to right

The people advocating for Vaughn to make the ASG has been, uhm... interesting.

It's really a shame we didn't trade him along with Cease for Conforto

Another pulled GB from TA. This has to be one of his worst slumps in years.

Pollock batting 2nd against a RHP really doesn't make much sense.
