Jerry wants to win his way, and Tony is very similar.  They’re making baseball great again

Putting the word "cease" into a game thread on days when Cease is not pitching is somewhat confusing.

29 Year Anniversary of Robin Ventura getting pummeled by Nolan Ryan. Sox should play in TX every August 4th to commemorate.

I don't blame him, blame the front office and coaching staff

Noticed that, just awful fundamentals.  He’s always been horrible turning the DP.

Ohtani 2.

Tied record for most solo homers in a game as well as solo homers in a loss.

The Angels are only 3 games up on the A's. Pretty crazy considering they were in position of a wild card spot as recently as June.

Calling Tom Emanski and Fred The Crime Dog McGriff.

Good defensive positioning saves a run. Ya love to see it.

Harrison with some quick reflexes

That would have been a single last year cause Tony refused to shift on right handed hitters.

Josh throwing some leather.

Cueto isn't fooling anyone today.

It's the one thing he's budged on over the last 2 years. Too bad someone couldn't have convinced him to shift against the Astros ?

I sure wish Cueto would teach the 'youngins' on our staff, how to be an efficient pitcher.

If only the Sox would make baseball great again, instead of trying to change the game.

I seem to remember attending a game in 2015 or 2016 where the Sox hit 7 solo HR against the Jays and lost 10-7.

TA's OPS is creeping towards .750. He's really been kind of sleep walking ever since coming back from injury.

3rd time through, against a lefty, middle of the lineup due up... this checks a lot of boxes to be a nice inning for the Sox bats

Look, putting Cease in this thread title is intentionally misleading and I for one will not stand for it.  I’m not gonna make you change it because that will make my superstitious sense go off the charts…but I don’t like it.

I thought about that, but then I figured that holding it back until tomorrow would be bad karma and would surely anger the game thread gods. I do have another good one though if the Sox manage to win this one.

Moncada is having a terrible season, but I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

If he's this bad next year, then it's time.

He had a 4.0 fWAR season just a year ago.

This guy can't throw strikes at all. How do the Sox have one run??

How many times has Robert ever walked twice in the same game??

Wow Luis Robert's patience has been impressive tonight.

Great eye for Robert

i would really like him to consider stealing here
