All right, now we just need an on-side kick and  TD

All that for a split and no ground gained.  Can't wait to get scolded again for not being excited about this mediocrity.

  • This is a great call. Rick, if you're listening, you should absolutely cut a 27 year old that is owed 42 million over the next two seasons, this will greatly improve the Sox chances of winning a World

What a disaster of an outing from Giolito. He has basically become a number 5 starter. With this line up the Sox pitching has to be near perfect to have any chance.

Cut moncada, guy plays with zero desire.  No drive,  no emotion.  Goes through the motions.

Bench him a week and send a message

With the Cleveland series coming up, this might end up being a position player pitches day.  Romy?  Big Energy?

What’s worse so far - this game or these Liberty Mutual commercials?

Welp, we certainly know the answer to this question now.

He would be a bad number 5 starter on a contender

They do need to explore anyway possible to get rid of him

To borrow and old JR line, anyone who thinks this team can catch Cleveland is crazy

Agree, Velasquez needs to eat up as many innings as possible.  They need to put Giolito on the IL.

For Davis Martin?  Why not?  As long as VV doesn't get them.  Even Lambert would be better but no longer stretched out for that.

Well at least I remember now why I didn't miss Vince Velasquez when he was gone.

Hey, I thought we were a contender?

Fire Tony chants again?

Lucky it's not a more highly charged night game atmosphere.

LaRussa has zero to do with this fiasco today.

Only 1 game off White Flag margin from nearly a quarter century ago.

How times haven't changed.

Well except Jacobs/Progressive selling out season after season after season.

Yeah, I want TLR gone and all, but.....he didn't make Giolito turn into Jim Parque Jr out on the mound.

Wait, major leaguers can hit low 91-92 mph fastballs?

I won't argue that point.

Cutting him shouldn't be on the table, for the reasons I gave, among others.

Remember when the Sox replaced Rodon with Villasquez? That was awesome .

Too bad Leury is out.

This one has a position player pitching written all over it

I think his shoulder is just cooked from the mechanics he’s used for four years

This is a breakdown or fatigue issue not finesse or technique.

People also argued Rodon was actually being replaced by Kopech, so everything was fine.

Idiots.

I just want the offense to start hitting homers instead of GIDP,s and striking out

Steve Stone is batshit peddling this “they’ll come back” narrative.

Jim Parque almost put Mike Cameron into the HOF by himself.

And to think some people criticised McGuire for saying this clubhouse lacked a winning mentality!!!

How many playoff appearances would the Sox have had if Francona got the job when Bevington took over in 95 for Lamont or more recently when he took CLE job after Boston?

Would LaRussa and 15 rookies really be leading Francona's Sox?

Impossible to imagine.

Of course, the Guardians would never be dumb enough to hire Tony in the first place.
