  • Oh my goodness no.  The 2006 team would win 9 out of 10 games against this team. They won 90 games.  They had 4 players who hit 30+ home runs.  There were 7 players on that team that hit more HR

Royals play Detroit next so that's very possible for them.

  • Also shows the humidor narrative is horseshit.

Power move by Tony.

Faking health issues just to get away from having to see another Lucas Batting Practice session.

KC been getting hammered and Sox make them look like a playoff team

Sox have to be one of the worst teams in the majors now.  They’re easily the worst team that is still pretending to try.

Totally cool with him being fired as well

Dylan Cease was trending towards being a reliever who couldn't miss bats before working with Katz. Carlos Rodon was DFA'd and 29 other teams said no thanks. Let's calm down with firing Katz.

Go low or high but not at the belt. Pitches at the belt get well, belted.

Definitely want them to lose with Cairo, as I want him nowhere near the manager spot next year.

I need a complete house cleaning this offseason, minimum from Hahn down.   Everyone.

If they can launch Kenny, I'd be fine also.  But I think he's got a job as long as Reinsdorf lives.

they've collectively cashed it in already, you aren't going to see anything else for the rest of the schedule

I don't think he would be missed.  He just looks more competent compared to the rest of the staff.

Time to start looking at where we realistically could end up in next year's draft. Keep losing boys.

Rodon also decided to get in shape and pitch for a contract.  As for Cease, he’s done a great job.  I don’t think he’s done a good job at all with Giolito and Kopech.

He's been here 2 years, 1 of them the Sox had arguably the best pitching staff in baseball. He took 2 starters who looked varying degrees of broken and they turned into CY contenders under him. He also did the same with Lucas before he got here, obviously.  It's on Katz to fix Lucas again, turn Kopech into the pitcher we all know he can be, etc. But Katz has clearly been a net positive since joining the organization. Firing him after this year would be insane.

Firing just to fire, I agree. More if they fire him to tear down the whole coaching staff, that I support.

Seby and Singer will definitely get in a fight the next few years

It's like Pollock had never seen a slider in his life before tonight

Pollock, what the hell are you doing

Awful

He’s making the slider look like Carlos Marmol in his prime

Yeah, I would prefer Katz stick around under the next manager.

It’s still so disheartening that Pollock will be back.  Meanwhile Vaughn’s horrible approach strikes again.

Can Vaughn hit anything but grounders to short?

So predictable…keep hitting grounders slowpoke

He’s out

Vaughn hits ball into the ground yet again
