Good thing we let Leury, Diekman and VV play a huge part.

2 out of those 3 figure to be on the team next year.

Whatever, we take 2/3 from them each series that will work

Carlos Rodon has given up 3 hits/1walk thru 5. I thought he was finished.

Engel needs to go away also. Absolutely awful player this year.

Lets be honest, the whole 25 man roster outside of Cease needs to go away.

Yep. Doesn't figure to be here in 2023.

Sheets hitting against a lefty is better than Engel hitting against anybody.

Cleveland gets KC while we get Seattle. The Twins get the Yankees. Hopefully we can take at least one game in Seattle and beat up on Oakland while the Yankees beat the Twins and the Twins and Guardians beat up on each other.

You would hope but Sox have a bad tendency of falling in love with their own crappy players

Need a 5-2 week

Overall a badly managed and coached game, along with the usual defense shortcomings.

According to a few posters here his arm will fall off any minute!

The humidor cursed this team again. Eloy and Pollock's hits in the 7th are probably both homers without the humidor.

Its infuriating to me that we don't use Lopez for more than just 1 inning of work. The Twins shoved Duran down our throats this series. Why can't we use our best relievers to do the same? Why the f*** is VV ever put in the game?

Diekman, Graveman, and Kelly have been atrocious additions. Hahn did a terrible job

At least JR was able to save the 18 million it would of cost to pay him this year or the draft pool money he would of had to spend on another player.

That’s 20 million we have coming back!!

I wouldn't say the whole bunch but quite a few, this was a big chance today but instead we came up smelling like dog s%*#.

Can't win em all...but they really needed this game

They had a great chance to take a lead in the 7th, but bad coaching and execution cost them. Haseley should have either been waved home on Pollock's double or he should have been off with the pitch on the squeeze.

I just looked at the the replay of Pollock's double and the throw completely missed the cut-off man and bounced slowly to home plate. Haseley was basically around third and stopping as the throw missed the cut-off man. He could have scored on that.

It was Hahns decision not to even entertain the thought of resigning Rodon

Yes, and it was a dumb decision.

Well they won the series, but with time running out just winning a series only does you so much...they need to start sweeping series.

Frustrated again by a soft tossing stiff that other teams seem to have little trouble figuring out.

And yes the Sox are stuck with guys like Garcia and Diekman.

Disappointing game but Sox are back in this thing. Need a 5-2 road trip. Guardians got 3 with the Royals and 3 with the Twins while the Twins go to NY for 4 before heading back to MPLS to take on Cleveland. 5-2 probably gets us within a game of the Guardians. Would be shocked if Twins did any better than 1-3 in NY, Yanks absolutely own them.

Yeah, I’m thinking they suspend this game.
