Need a 5-2 week

That would be great but we just went 4-5 on a fairly easy homestand. At this point no worse than 4-3 on the road trip is a must.

Overall a badly managed and coached game, along with the usual defense shortcomings.

They looked flat and Vaughn doesn't belong in the outfield. Slow with no range. And Lopez should have pitched the 8th.  The team generated some excitement but now they're right back to .500.

Hearing just a few minutes ago the best guess for roster moves this week is that Bummer and Moncada are activated with Peyton and Haseley sent back out. That from one of the beat writers.

No word on Kopech.

Cairo also said pregame Robert will be in the lineup Monday if his wrist is OK. (Haven't we heard THAT before about a half dozen times...)

Offense was what you'd expect after a 13 run outburst the day before.  A Law Of Nature.  The Good Gio showed up.  Although this is a different Gio than his short-lived glory days of a few years ago.

Sounds like they’re trying to get the field ready in Cleveland. We’ll see. Gotta get two innings in and make it a Guardians loss.

Honestly does he still have 95-97 in there somewhere?  He didn’t have it anymore when he first sucked with us, then he had it with that sick change when he was good, and now he’s sitting 92-93 and getting shelled.  Is it in there?

If I had to guess, simply my opinion there's three reasons for his struggles (in no particular order):

Had put on 20 pounds of muscle and it has altered his mechanics

His contract situation, remember how he said he was angry with what the Sox were contesting?

Bad, lousy Sox defense which has put him in some tough situations.

guys they're toast, stop lol

Just like the Sox have 109 wins in them...seems pretty unlikely at this point.

If it looks like a turd, smells like a turd, and floats or sinks like a turd…. It’s a turd.

Trigger warning for non caddyshack fans.

Doubt

Next year, there will be a lot of 5-6 hour delays to get games in.

someone needs to get fired in cleveland for how bad their field drains

Btw, watch the Mariners change tomorrow’s 5:40 start to 8:40 (central)

Guardians starting in 20 min

If Robert was OK today, he should have been in the game, if not starting at least pinch hitter or runner and/or defensive replacement.  We are in a tight pennant race, let’s win a game at a time.

These are the Indians after all.

They’re also quite likely just 2 GB and Cleveland is reeling and Twins heading to play a 4 games series against a team they haven’t been able to beat in eons. It’s wild that all it took was a 4 game win streak to get them back in the thick, but they very much are.

Of course, they're back in the thick. That's what a lousy division does for you.

Go Mariners… for just this game…

Then go get bent.

Is that Angel Hernandez behind home plate for the Mariners game?

Man the Indians offense looks like horseshit. Watch they play us and look like the Yankees. ?

3-1 M’s after 5. And this game is ooo-fficial.

Happy birthday, Hawk.

They had a great chance to take a lead in the 7th, but bad coaching and execution cost them. Haseley should have either been waved home on Pollock's double or he should have been off with the pitch on the squeeze.

I just looked at the the replay of Pollock's double and the throw completely missed the cut-off man and bounced slowly to home plate. Haseley was basically around third and stopping as the throw missed the cut-off man. He could have scored on that.

Super Joe is either too aggressive or too conservative.  Shouldn’t be back as 3rdbase coach next season.
