September 19, 20223 yr The Guardians are 29th in runs over the last month yet they keep finding ways to score enough to keep on winning. In many instances to win comfortably. sigh.
September 19, 20223 yr The Twins keeping this close enough so the Guardians have to at least use their best relievers would be nice.
September 19, 20223 yr Twins have runners on the corners with nobody out so naturally Miranda hits into a DP.
September 19, 20223 yr Man being 4 back going into the series would be disappointing. Winning 2/3 only gains you a game. Saturday’s win being the start of a 10-game win streak would be phenomenal. Edited September 19, 20223 yr by Bob Sacamano

What sucks with the game today is the Guardians know they’re leaving Chicago in first place no matter what. That’s got to be a good feeling.

September 19, 20223 yr Sox have to rely on the Guards cooling off and losing a few. That's how it rolls when you play .500 ball.
September 19, 20223 yr Be honest, does anyone expect the Sox offense to do anything at all against Civale/McKenzie/Bieber?
September 19, 20223 yr No other way to put it but the Sox need a sweep, which is going to be very hard to do but if they do, 1 game out while holding the tie breaker with 12 games left after the Cleveland series is very much doable. Any other result and it's pretty much over unless Cleveland falls apart, which isn't very likely. Sigh

That’s got to be a good feeling. Also sucks it's likely Tony will still be in Chicago when the team plays tomorrow. 2022 White Sox: 12-3 .800 Miguel Cairo - Tony Gawn 63-65 .492 Tony La Russa Manager 1-3 .250 Miguel Cairo - Tony in Person Day of Game (8/31, 9/11, 9/13, 9/14)

Inexplicably, the Sox got 6 off of him earlier in the year. Once you factor in Elvis' arrival, Second Half Eloy, and the Cairo Effect, I expect we'll have at least a dozen.
September 19, 20223 yr Sorry, I’m not buying Cairo being anything special either. Let’s just clean house after the season.

The Guardians offense hasn't been good all season and it's been even worse (somehow) during their hot streak over the last month. They shouldn't feel great about scoring off Cease or Lynn either, to be fair.

September 19, 20223 yr Here’s the difference between sweeping and winning 2 out of 3: Cleveland wins one, magic number is 9, Sox magic number is 16 Sox sweep. Cle- 12, Sox 13 That’s with 12 left. So yeah, it’s sweep or it’s over.
