The fact Shildt got the boot after the Cardinals went on a huge hot streak last year speaks volumes about why he shouldn't be hired.

Yep, he was awful.  Same with why Girardi shouldn’t be considered.

Hahn thinks the hiring process should take a few weeks.

Well, what sucks is that Rick Hahn is definitely staying as GM. Ugh.

I wish the Sox at one point would search for a GM with experience at an organization with recent championship experience.

Why was Shildt even fired? Crazy good W/L but I admitedly know nothing else of him

I'm pretty sure Cardinals fans hated him lol

"Jerry, Kenny and I sat down to discuss . . . "

Why does the owner have to be a part of that discussion? That discussion should only be Kenny and Rick.

JR should know to stay completely out of those conversations going forward.

They need to look outside of the organization. Can't believe JR hasn't got the guts to fire an incompetent GM.

Said something along the lines of hiring someone World Series experience within the last decade.

How did I forget about Maddon

I dont want any Cardinals castaways.  Just because Drunky was from there doesnt mean that should happen.  Can we finally get an analytics department now that Shellys guy is no longer here.

Why do people clamor so much for Bruce Bochy? Has he even spoken about managing again? He’s retired.

I’m assuming the new manager will be able to bring in his own coaches which is also a key aspect of this. Then again it’s the Sox we’re talking about so who knows.

Hahn sounds very irritated, but what the hell does he expect to be asked after this s%*# show of a season

Stone said he talked w him in Las Vegas and said something about him being interested

He said several times upon leaving SF that he was taking a break but he'd see how things went. Clearly left the door open at the time.

Maddon recently grousing about not wanting to be told what to do by a front office sure makes it seem like he would be an awful fit.

Just remember, in 2019, the White Sox's manger prior to LaRussa was asked how he uses analytics while making decisions (ultimate fluff question for some article, shoulda been easy) and his answer was "my response is f*** you."

Seems like Hahn wants someone from outside the White Sox family tree pretty badly. They want an "outside perspective". At least they figured out they're not very good at this.

Hahn is saying they are eager to look for outside perspectives, beyond Miguel Cairo's candidacy.

They are now showing Jerry Reinsdorf looking at his phone, surprised he has a smart phone.

This was probably Cairo's job for the taking before the team quit on him too imo.

Reinsdorf there sitting in the back playing Snake on his Nokia phone.

Yeah, we dodged a bullet there. That first loss to Cleveland was completely on Cairo.

It's the Pure Talk Senior Plan....

Maybe that would be good since our Front Office clearly doesn't know what they're doing
