That is a really interesting tweet. 

I wouldn’t love it, I wouldn’t hate it, and I wouldn’t be surprised by it.

If they aren't going to sign Nimmo, or Judge, or Yoshida, or Benintendi,,,,. then Gallo is pretty good as a consolation prize. Hopefully this deal gets done.

I once had a student who had his face broken by Joey Gallo.

I think I would rather have 2022 all over again than see Gallo on this team.

He's been terrible for the last season and a half.  There are low batting averages and low OBP and then there is .162 and .277.

Sure. Probably the best realistic option out there. Checks boxes that the sox desperately need. His addition will make gamethreads even more unbearable though.

Other than he’s historically been a quality defensive OF where Sheets ranked as one of the worst.

If Gallo plays LF, he would have the best LF arm in baseball.  Big change from Pollock and Vaughn/Eloy/Sheets to Gallo/Colas on the corners 

I’m not going to be mad at Gallo, but if they are in the same ballpark $ wise I’d prefer Benintendi
