  • Working on it but I think this burner is correct.

  • So what are the odds we are giving that whomever we sign the white sox will be their last team before retirement?

  • There is really only one alternative in resolving this position and his name is Benintendi. The guy is a gold glove LF, who hits for average and gets on base. He is far superior to Joey Gallo (the str

I shouldn't raise my expectations to thinking it'll be one of Gallo, Conforto, or Benintendi. One of Calhoun or Peralta would be so on brand for the Sox.

Ya but we hate of defense so makes sense.

Thats what I'm afraid of....another DH in the OF

You think this is the off-season they finally start valuing defense? ?

No, I'm thinking that'll be 2028.

That's why I think Brantley is a possibility.

Ah, so when there's finally a new owner in charge. That makes sense.

Knowing Sox, they will sign Profar because he fixes the hole at 2B and LF (and then DH him)

Expectations are so low I think we’d be downright ecstatic if one is Gallo, Benintendi, or Conforto signed.

97.4%

My hope is that with it being specifically a LF, it has to be someone who you can go to Eloy and justify to him being a DH because of.

Thats way too smart for this org.

I badly wanted the Sox to sign Profar 2 (i think?) off-seasons ago. In a vacuum, he'd be an awesome signing. Leury, except good. An actual stopgap option for when TA inevitably goes in the IL with hammy issues.

The problem, of course, is there's only room in the budget for 1 signing so that money is best spent on an actual outfielder.

So Gallo or Conforto?  Any bargain bin FA better fit their lack of budget?

Rafael Ortega, JBJ, Tyler Naquin

More depth is always welcomed, but those guys feel redundant with Mark Payton resigned

Paytons projections are better than all 3, fwiw

I don't think you call Gallo or Conforto a LF.  Even if that is where they would/should/could play.

You do call Brantley, Benintendi, Peralta?

Conforto played 37% of his games in left field and 21% in centerfield.

I love vague as hell this is.  This is so vague he can't be wrong.

I mean, he’s wrong if we don’t have a new LF come Friday night

But would you call him a LF if you were relaying a rumor?  I don't think so.  Especially since he probably plays RF early for the Sox.

All I was trying to say.

I think it’s Gallo, but Peralta wouldn’t shock me

I’ll fucking riot if they sign Peralta.  At least Gallo you can dream on a bit.

Not really

Signing Peralta this off-season would so similar to Harrison last year. It would be on brand for the Sox.
