The headliner of their trade to get Lopez at last year's deadline, Yennier Cano, has 70 IP with a 2.17 ERA/1.02 WHIP this year for Baltimore...where he has since been rejoined by the guy he was traded for. Another solid candidate never considered by Jerry, even for an interview to ask how successful franchises conduct business. Unfortunately, someone somewhere along the way happens to be tangentially related to the Sox, so "the Orioles fleeced the Twins for Jorge Lopez last year AND got him back for free to boot" got turned into another retread "White Sox bad" discussion. Also loved the late season push by the Royals. A couple more weeks may have allowed them to pass the White Sox in this dismal season.
